Happy Birthday to my dearest epic sabaw brother!
Just a random mix that I made using Ableton Live. Still trying to learn the software.
My video for DGFILM1 finals.
A story about a mute mime who seeks for an answer about life and facing the life he has. He sees life as a one big show and everyone is part of it. The roles are defined by ourselves as we choose our own roles.
We were at Malabon Zoo yesterday (me and my brother) and for the past 10 years, it was only our second time to visit the zoo (even though it was just one ride away from our house). We decided to visit the zoo because we wanted to take pictures/photowalk and to help my brother in practicing photography. While we were at the zoo, me and my brother were both disappointed because of what we’ve seen. The zoo is still operating but it does not look like a zoo for us, instead it was like a prison cell for animals. I’ve thought, if I just don’t know how a zoo operates and how the system goes. There were a lot of questions coming into my mind. Honestly our stay at the zoo was not enjoying, it was a frightening experience. Seeing humans, mostly kids teasing the animals and treating them like toys. Once we’ve encountered some kids in the koi pond, they have sticks on their hand and trying to stitch the carps/fishes, and their parents were just laughing and even enjoying watching their kids doing their thing in front of them. Well, I just don’t know why the hell there are people like that. I’m not an advocate for animal rights or whatsoever, but I just can’t stand what they’re doing. Maybe people nowadays are different. They are the ones who should be caged in the zoo, because they are the beasts.
*I have uploaded the photos I’ve took at the Zoo, I can’t post it here due to some technical problems of Tumblr. Well, it sucks.

My 8th video for DGFILM1, it should have been a 2d animation but unfortunately the software crashed and I can’t retrieve some files, so I did these instead.
Here’s my column in today’s Philippine Star, about the trouble brewing at Cinemalaya.
Side note: Cinemalaya’s like home to me, so I’m sad about what’s happening; what some people have become. Hope things change before the festival in July!
